ABOUT US
THE STORY OF BLAKES HOUSE FAMILY RESIDENCE
Having had someone close to me caught up in the grips of addiction, I know the pain and destruction it creates. I have found purpose & passion in providing housing that helps those who truly seek recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. Sober home living with medically assisted treatment has shown to be extremely effective in helping people be successful in long-term recovery.I was fortunate to learn about shared recovery housing and meet Frank & Sherri Candelario, who are doing amazing work in Seattle. They operate 8 homes and counting. I was able to visit a number of homes and hear stories of healing and success from residents. The seed was planted. It took some time to find the right house, but it all worked out and we are excited to finally be opening our first men’s home. This work is truly fulfililng.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to change lifes, through the power of housing security. Shelter is first on Maslows heirarchy of needs but our homes are much more than just shelter. We aim to provide a home that is beautiful, tranquil, and shared with others that may be on the same journey, where people support & encourage one another. We believe this provides the best environment for people to have hope, believe in themselves, and start to live their "best life", whatever that means for each individual.

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is restored dignity for our people, lower relapse for those in recovery, lower recidivism for our justice-involved, and ultimately, restored lives. This is why we founded Blakes House.
